young adult romantic fiction
As I lie in bed, laptop balanced precariously over the spleen that still burns with phantom mono fire, my mind wanders in a haze of listlessness and discontent.
For reals!
I made excellent progress on the delayed room cleaning assignment, and my Swiffers beckon to me with ghostly, microfiber voices like sirens from jagged rocks.
Meanwhile:
As you may or may not know, I am about to begin filming something so amazing that my heart is going to explode like eyeballs on the moon: "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist", with the infinite Michael Cera as Nick and some weird girl named Kat Dennings as Norah. It's almost too good to be true, therefore I'm going to shut up about it and talk about some really important issues:
Pumpkin bread tastes like autumn, for serious. What more do I need in life? Pumpkin bread, cold weather, Manga, baby animals, a volcano filled with money, christmas music, and Bill Murray. Whether I have all of these things is irrelevant.
小さな幸せウサギ,
Kat
I'm not a creepy stalker or anything but I guess I'm first to comment. I'm a artist so I tend to stay up late. Congrats on the new job Kat! Nice poem... I guess. And yes Pumpkin bread does taste like Autumn. I wish I had some right now. Hmmmmm. Pumpkin bread.

I really psyched about Playlist. Michael Cera star is rising and so is Kat's, so it's a perfect combination.

Young adult romantic fiction...

Well I read it when I was young. It didn't get romantic till the second book in the series. But it is fiction. They even made a movie...

Fall may very well be my favorite season. Sadly where I live here in the state of Texas, it doesn't always feel like fall.
Look forward to catching your movies, hopefully I will be able to catch C.B. sometime next year.

Wow...13 posts in and TomKat hasn't made a comment yet...boy must be slipping. If he's not careful he'll lose his title of Kat's #1 stalker-fanboi. Oh and btw, I think one would be hard pressed to find a cooler word in the english language than S-P-L-E-E-N. say it...spleen...spleen...spleen!!!

Why is it called Mono? Is it half as bad as Stereo? If you have DTS should you go to the hospital?

I wish people would leave TomKat alone. He's a good guy if you would give him a chance.
Kat's new movies are going to rock extremely hard!

Oh Kat I absolutely can not wait for your movies to come out! Congrats on all these awesome rolls with Apatow Productions. You fit in perfectly.
Read your book, carve a pumpkin(or two)and try to relax as much as you can. You deserve everything coming your way but everyone needs a break here and there.
Lee :)

Hi Kat,
You already know how thrilled I am about your latest starring role, and how I can't wait to see it, even though you haven't even started filming yet. I agree with Lee, I think Apatow is a real good guy to get in with right now, his comedies are the hottest in Hollywood and box office gold. It's funny because his tv series were overlooked by the general public, even though they were incredibly hilarious, and became cult favourites.
I see in Lee's post above this one that you wrote a book! For reals? If so, I would love to read it. Are you looking for a publisher?
So I see that you have mono again (or just got over it), if I read your intitial paragraph correctly. That sucks. Hope it doesn't last too long, I think I remember that it lingered on for a few weeks when you wrote about previously.
You like cold weather? Can't say I do. I like warmness a lot better and I wouldn't mind if it was summer all year round. I would think that was fantastic. In fact, just thinking about winter is something I find really depressing for so many reasons. One thing I will say though. I admire the fact that you seem like a very happy and optimistic person, putting a positive spin on things, and I find that inspiring.
Anyway, let's get back to a happy topic. Your next movie! Kat, it looks like it's going to be fantastic!
Take care,
Tom (TomKat)

Hi Kat!
you have a great blog, some great stories on them but I startled when I saw your Music taste... you like Slayer? Awsome love the CD! David Bowie, Electric Six, I never thought that you'd listen to that music that's so cool!
Well just loved you in.. well all your movies (also a big ER fan)
bye bye Alex :)

Yea for you and your new movie!!!
Sadness for your spleen.
Posted by: Eddie | October 16, 2007 at 06:00 AM
Hi Kat,
Oooops, I misread Lee's post before. I see now that you haven't written a book, but that Lee was simply telling you to relax, read your book, etc.
Take care,
Tom

Tom I was all like, "What no you read it wrong, she just needs to relax and READ her book!" Darn English language got us all confused. LOL
Lee
Posted by: Lee | October 16, 2007 at 09:18 PM
Lee, yeah, hahahahah, I don't know how I could have made that mistake though, it seems so obvious now. By the way, I agree with you. Kat, don't forget to relax whenever you can, it's really important! Things are getting busier for you, so you have to make sure you still have time to yourself to keep your balance and stay healthy.
